Mission Statement

The Brantford International Jazz Festival Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit entity on
March 25, 2008.

Our vision was to organize a two-day festival as a celebration of music and culture.  In
2011 we have expanded to a three-day festival.

It is our mission:

To provide an organization which will enable businesses, individuals and other
organizations to participate in the organizing, funding and enjoyment of a jazz festival.

To provide a festival of regional draw to stimulate the local tourism industry and in doing
so, strengthen Brantford’s economic foundation.

To provide a world class venue that will entreat world class jazz artists to come our way,
present more performances in our venues, and encourage collaboration with our local
students and musicians.

To provide an atmosphere in which a visit to the Brantford International Jazz Festival is
an unconditional must for national and international jazz musicians who are excited to
perform in our venues and to enjoy our hospitality for those who play it.
